ABOUT THE LAMB HOUSE

Vision - To renovate the Lamb House in order to bring it up to code and safety standards through community support and to raise the funds to do this.

Mission Statement - The Lamb House aspires to be a a residential facility that promotes community stability by providing short term housing for those forced to leave their homes due to fire or structural damage due to natural causes. When not in use as an emergency residence, The Lamb House will be available as a temporary residence for organization-based volunteer groups that provide services that benefit the community.

Objectives:

The Lamb House will:
  • provide safe, convenient, and short term housing for displaced families.
  • permit family members to reside together.
  • to allow children to continue to attend normal schools.
  • to allow parents to remain close to their employment.
  • to provide a temporary base of operations for use by volunteer groups while they are providing services that will promote the stability and well being of the community.
The Lamb House Began in 2014 as a Mission of the
First Congregational Church of Cherryfield. It became independent from the church in the Summer of 2017 and now is its own 501c3 tax exempt organization.
The Lamb House is the white house in the background. It has since been painted blue.
